Top Ten Tuesday

Today’s Top 10 Tuesday are the books I would most like for Santa to leave me under the tree. I’ve already saved them in a wishlist for my husband so all he has to do is pick some to purchase. I’m so sweet and loving to make it simple for him aren’t I? HAHA. My mom has also bought me books but they are an actual surprise.

Top Ten Tuesday was originated by The Broke and Bookish. But without further ado. Here are the books I’m thinking, wishing, hoping, and praying are under my tree come Christmas.

10. The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon

I really enjoyed Everything Everything by this author and was highly anticipating the release of her next book. I haven’t had a chance to read/buy it yet though. I do know I want to own it because even its its worse than her debut, man it is pretty and will make my shelves look fabulous!

9. Nemesis by Anna Banks

Don’t judge me but Banks’ mermaid series was a secret love of mine. I realize it has nothing life changing in it or inspiring. I just LOVE MERMAIDS! So I want to give Nemesis a try and see where she goes with her writing.

8. My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows

I love history retellings. This started with “The Other Boelyn Girl” by Phillippa Greggory. I know this version has some fantasy added to it. But I love fantasy. Plus the dedication in this cracks me up. “To everyone who knows that there was enough room for Leonardo DiCaprio on that door. And for England. We’re really sorry for what we’re about to do to your history.” Laughing my butt off.  I hope the book is just as humorous.

7. The May Queen Murders by Sarah Jude

I saw this in the book store one time and thought the premis was pretty awesome. Plus I love YA mysteries. However that day  I was lacking funds. I want to finally make it part of my collection of YA Mystery/Thrillers.

6. Dengeki Daisy volumes 4 &5 by Kyousuki Motomi

6686671

I read the first 3 volumes of this earlier this year. I thought it was so cute and Kaoru was just precious. I really want to dive back into this series.

5. Inuyasha Volume 3 by Rumiki Takahashi

6954734

I read volumes 1 & 2 this spring and I have to say… I LOVE these characters. Inyuasha is so charming. And Kagome is so fiesty. I just smile during every page. I cannot wait to read more of this series.

4.Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon volumes 7 – 12 by Noaki Takeuchi

1429082

It’s official. I’m Sailor Moon Trash. I kept protesting this series in my young adulthood. But I’ve given in and I’m in love. My favorite is Sailor Mercury. Her love of school and kindness are so endearing. Plus I mean blue is perfection for both hair and clothes.

3. The Chemist by Stephanie Meyer

It was a pleasure to read The Host by Meyer. And honestly, I enjoyed Twilight back in the day. I love mysteries, as mentioned before, so I definitely want to see how her writing has grown and changed in her new novel.

2. Talking As Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham

30253895

Was there ever a question if this would make top 3? I’m Gilmore Crazy. I own every season and have been watching since it aired. Of COURSE I want Graham’s book. I mean Lorelai is my clothing and attitude role model. I MUST have more Gilmore Girls!

1. Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo

Another non question. I read Six of Crows in October and had the worst book hangover. This book moved me and broke me. I need to own it and its sequel! Also, they are so pretty!!

Special Mention to Darkest Minds Trilogy by Alexandra Bracken

I’m going to an Alexandra Bracken signing in January and I mean, I would kinda like this series for her to sign. Just sayinging.

Great choices! I read Nemesis a few months ago and really loved it. I have both The Sun is Also a Star and My Lady Jane, but sadly haven’t gotten to either one yet. Hopefully I will soon!
