Fierce Fangirl Fridays: Peter Hollens

Hey guys, I’m here today for another Fierce Fangirl Friday. Fierce Fangirl Friday is a meme hosted by Jackie from Too Much Of A Book Nerd. Its a chance for us all to Fangirl about whatever our hearts desire.

Today I’m going to be fangirling about Peter Hollens. He is an American YouTuber known for his excellent acapellas and medleys of popular songs. I really enjoy his music and tend to end up listening to entire playlists in one go. Today I’m going to touch on a few different video themes he has done that I just love.

His songs from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

Hollens has done his own version of every song that appears in either Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit. Many of them are these beautiful acapellas. Also quite a few feature other YouTube artists. His voice really resonates with my soul and calms me down. I love listening to his playlist with these songs after a long day. Here are a few of my favorites.

 

His Disney Medley’s and Covers

We all know I’m a Disney nut. His Disney medley’s are so good. They flow together and usually have a theme. Like his Villain’s Medley (below). I also particularly enjoy his Disney covers he does with his wife. She has her own YouTube channel. And while she isn’t my all time favorite she can hold her own. Their duets are so intimate and full of love. Plus they sound amazing. Here are some you need to watch/listen to.

Songs From Bigger Movies

He’s done Covers of my different movie soundtrack sounds. They are a fan favorite. It’s always fun to see new renditions of songs that I love from movies that I love.

 

Medleys of an Arist’s Collection of Music

He does a few medley’s of different musicians works. I really like the Taylor Swift one. These videos are fun and really showcase his talent.
