Hello my nerdy friends. Today I’m here to do The Princess Bride Book Tag. I saw this movie for the first time when I was pretty young. And I’ve been quoting it and laughing along with these characters ever since. My husband and I even considered having “As You Wish” imprinted on our wedding bands. So yeah this movie means a lot to me. If you haven’t seen it…. then how are we friends? KIDDING. But serious go watch it!

1. Westly: Favorite Romantic Hero

Thorne from Cress. Duh! Is there anyone else swoonier?

2. Princess Buttercup: Favorite Rags to Riches Story

The Selection by Kiera Cass. We all know I adore that series. And while America has her moments where she annoys me, for the most part I was really excited to see her go from rags to riches.

3. Dread Pirate Roberts: Favorite Book with Pirates or One You Wanna Read

I haven’t read many pirate novels. So what comes to mind is The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig. But on my TBR is also The Daughter of the Pirate King by Trisha Levenseller and Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman.

4. Prince Humperdink: Villian you love to hate or one that is just funny

The first one is from a TV show because I had a hard time finding book characters. That is Rumpelstiltskin.  I ADORE him in OUAT. Also up for consideration is Deadpool. But he’s more of an anti-hero.

5. ROUS: Best Fantastical Monster

I thought the beast in hunted was cool because instead of making him a werewolf he was literally a beast melded with a man. Also Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon is my favorite ever. He is basically a cat.

6. As You Wish: A Book With A Sweet Romance

My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I love this sweet contemporary. And the romance is done realistically and in a way that teenagers can look up to.

7. Mawage: Name Two Book Characters You Ship and Two You Do NOT Ship

I ship Nesta and Cassian HARD. Like I am dying for a story about them. On the other hand I do NOT ship Mal and Alina. He didn’t want her to have powers. And he loved her best when she was ordinary. Which would be fine if she didn’t have within her the power to be extraordinary. Ok off the soapbox.

8. Fezzick, Vezzini, Montoya: Favorite Book Crime Group

How can I not say the Six of Crows. They are #goals.

9, Inigo Montoya: Best Revenge Story

Get Even duology. I enjoyed it because it was revenge with a purpose and no one was supposed to get hurt. Also the story was more about bullying than getting revenge.

10. Book vs Movie: Which is your favorite and why?

The movie. I saw it first. It always makes me laugh. Where as the book is iffy in a lot of places. And I just love the grandfather reading the book to his grandson. It’s precious and hysterical in places.
