Hello lovelies, how are you doing today? I thought that with the hype for Beauty and The Beast continuing to rise I would do the Beauty and the Beast Book Tag.
1. Tag at least 4 people
2. Thank the creator
3. Make sure you answer honestly
Belle: Someone who is willing to sacrifice themselves for someone they love
While there are many character’s who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the one they love, I feel like Alina in the Grisha trilogy really fits this description the best. She is constantly sacrificing herself for Mal, for her Grisha, and for Ravka. She is so compassionate and willing to take the negative repercussions of the revolution if it spares her friends.
Beast: A good character development?
I think Rachel had some great character development in this novel. When the novel starts she has no memory of the last year, so we don’t know much about her current life. As the novel progresses she starts remembering things and we get to know Rachel better and better. She is fully fleshed out by the end and a personable character.
Lumière: A character that gives good relationship advice?
Kylie and her friends Della and Miranda give each other great romantic advice. They just aren’t that good at taking the advice once it’s dolled out. They sit around their common room and just chat about boys. They speak from their experience with relationships or friendships with the guys on campus. The scenes they piled into the common room to chat were always some of my favorites.
Cogsworth: A loyal character (a person you can trust)?
The Lumberjanes are a very loyal bunch. They never give up on each other and are always trying to build each other up. I love this group of friends and could totally trust them.
Mrs. Potts: A mothering character (a character that you would want as a mum)?
Gaston: A character you hate that everybody else loves?
I hate Snape. I understand that he loved Lily. But in my eyes that doesn’t totally redeem him for emotionally abusing Harry through seven books. He took out his frustrations with James on Harry in an inappropriate manner, especially for a teacher. Now if you are a Snape fan, that’s cool. Just know that I am not.
The Enchantress: A person who put a curse on someone?
The princess of Nova accidentally puts a curse on herself. Whoops. She was trying to poison another but drank the wrong cup of tea. Now she is in love with herself. Literally. It takes some hardwork by Sammie Kemi to undo this curse.
